This shift to Layer 2 (L2) has significantly lowered the barrier to entry for on-chain creation, opening up new possibilities for creative expression.

We ❤️ The Art is a creator contest with a prize pool of 1,200,000 OP, designed to highlight and reward the burgeoning creative activity within blockchain. Similar to American Idol for on-chain art, this contest will be judged by respected figures in the on-chain creative space. It celebrates creative freedom and invites creators worldwide to push the boundaries of blockchain technology.

It aligns with the core mission of platforms like Optimism to create fairer, human-centric ecosystems that support and reward public goods like art.
Benefits for Creators
Participants can expect exposure, community engagement, and a share of the 1,200,000 OP prize pool across four distinct categories, offering opportunities for up to 188 contest winners.
Prize Distribution
- 1st tier: 50K OP prize (2 winners per category)
- 2nd tier: 20K OP prize (5 winners per category)
- 3rd tier: 7K OP prize (10 winners per category)
- 4th tier: 1K OP prize (30 winners per category)
Winners must pass KYC verification to receive their prizes.
Contest Categories
- A.I Art: Art generated using AI tools like Stable Diffusion.
- Generative Art: Art created entirely through code.
- Music: Musical compositions of any genre.
- 1of1s: An open category encompassing any art not fitting the other three categories.
How to Participate
- Create a collection of on-chain artwork and deploy it to OP Mainnet using NFT tools or marketplaces partnered with the contest.
- Submit your creation to one of the four contest categories through the contest site.
Submission Deadline: January 8th, 23:00 UTC
Judging Period: January 9th to January 30th
Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the NFT space, with winners announced shortly after the judging period.
