Cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin sponsors the Chingari Star contest, which is held from February 15 to March 15 by Chingari, India’s leading short-video application. The event will allow creators and average users to vie for a chance of winning $GARI tokens and the title of Chingari Star.

KuCoin will be acting as the core title sponsor of the contest, channeling its immense user base, which surpassed the 10 million mark in December of 2021, to the Chingari application. The aim of the event is to identify and foster talent among Indian youth and promote their performance on the Chingari application as Star of the Year.

As an exclusive sponsor to the event, KuCoin will be offering users unique profile badges and images, while providing the necessary advertising and promotional efforts to attract attention to the contest. The exchange will also be hosting a total of 40,000 GARI ($20,000) giveaway among all users of the Chingari application and winners of the event. As the leading altcoin exchange on the market, KuCoin was among the first to host the $GARI tokens and launch them for trading.

Chingari has announced that all willing to apply for a chance of winning will have to fill out their personal profiles on the application after registration, upload up to 5 videos, and apply to become a Chingari Star. The results of the contest will be announced in March after general voting by application users.

Up to 5,000 users will be awarded Rs.500 each, powered by $GARI tokens, if they watch videos for 1 hour daily on the app during the contest duration. Another 1,000 users will be receiving rewards every week for three consecutive weeks. The remaining 2,000 users will be rewarded at the end of the event in March.

“This event is an exciting venue that not only encourages young talent to show itself and gain recognition but also gives a decentralized industry a chance of proving how convenient it is to earn rewards and cash them out,” as stated by KuCoin CEO Johnny Lyu.

Users willing to participate can start signing up on the platform, while all others can start posting new videos to start earning $GARI tokens on the application. The event is considered to be the largest of its kind in India and the first to be sponsored by a cryptocurrency exchange.
