  • Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) designs a metaverse city under the name Liberland.
  • The city will be available for people to buy and enter its buildings as avatars.
  • The project took an artistic turn that couldn’t be approached with physical architecture.

The British Architecture Studio Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) announced that it has designed a “cyber-urban” in the metaverse. In the “cyber-urban” people can buy land using cryptocurrencies and enter digital buildings as avatars.

The city was named Liberland after a small parcel of earth between Croatia and Serbia. The Czech politician Vít Jedlička also claimed that this nation is a disputed land between the two countries.

As the news was brought to the public, the principal of ZHA, Patrik Schumacher, said:

While the Liberland Metaverse is meant to spearhead the development of Liberland as a libertarian micronation it will also function as free-standing virtual reality realm in its own right,

He also added saying “The ambition is for it to become the go-to site for networking and collaboration within the burgeoning web 3.0 industry, it’s the metaverse for metaverse developers and the crypto ecosystem at large,” as he explained more about this project.

This project was designed with the original works of the artist and architect Zuha Hadid, making this place even more special. It holds some features that are impossible to build in the physical world such as the elements with no support from the ground.

It also has a remarkable style with curvaceous, sinuous forms, and rounded corners. The official website of this project explains that The Liberland Metaverse is a collaboration between Liberland, Zaha Hadid Architects, Metaverse, and ArchAgenda a.o. The website also adds that it is designed as a virtual industry synergy and networking hub for crypto projects, crypto companies, and crypto events.
