A List of Bollywood Stars Trying Their Hand At NFT’s, Including Salman Khan

NFTs are a type of digital asset that uses blockchain to record the ownership of items like pictures, videos, and other collectibles. Several people have been perplexed by their booming growth, yet  rapithe NFT craze shows no signs of slowing down.

NFTs will be launched soon by Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. While Bachchan’s NFTs may include signed posters from his films, Khan has been generating buzz on Twitter by informing his 43 million followers about the upcoming NFT launch.

In the film industry, there are three variables that encourage interest in NFTs. Speculators are buying it to resell it at a higher price later. The party is not to be missed by novelty seekers. Fans want a closer relationship with their heroes. While the basis of celebrity NFTs is based on admirers at the moment” says Ajeet Khurana, an advisor to cryptocurrencies throughout the world.

Here’s a list of movie stars who are trying their hand at NFTs, as well as information on their digital assets –

Amitabh Bachchan

Recently, film legend Amitabh Bachchan successfully concluded the auction for his NFT series, as well as a recitation of his father’s Madhushala verses and other artifacts associated with his work.

According to estimates, the screenland star’s NFT collection garnered bids worth around $1 million in an auction hosted by Beyondlife.Club from All Saints’ Day to four.

The Madhushala NFT is a recording of the poem in the superstar’s voice. On day one of the sale, seven autographed posters from his painting movies and a dozen items from his “punks and NFTs digital artwork and Poster collection” had fetched bids worth over $100,000.

Salman Khan BollyCoin

For his NFT collections, actor Salman Khan partnered with BollyCoin, a film industry NFT marketplace, on October 13, 2021. One million BOLLY tokens were sold out within the first three hours of the debut, similar to Bollycoin.

Khan unveiled GARI, India’s first crypto-token, which was created by Chingari, a micro-content, short-video app. He announced it on Twitter on October 16th.

Sunny Leone MISFTIZ

Sunny Leone announced her first collectible venture MISFTIZ! on October 30, 2021, through Twitter, after following in the footsteps of other celebrities.

Leone’s NFT digital collection ‘MISFTIZ’ received a strong reception. According to her website, the collection features 9,600 NFTs that are “unique, minted on the Ethereum blockchain.”

“This was a private sale and it sold- out right away,” Leone’s told one of the news agencies at the time of the launch. I‘m quite pumped about the promotional materials behind my collection, as well as the community’s support. I’m an outlier in many ways, therefore there wasn’t anything better than this collection.”

Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan is on his way to being the first Indian celebrity to have a metaverse digital avatar. With the debut of the non-fungible token, the actor-turned-politician has announced his foray into the digital realm (NFT). To establish his NFT collection, Haasan has teamed up with Fantico, an Indian licensed digital collectibles marketplace.

Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, has signed a deal with Rario, a cricket NFT platform. Pant’s partnership with Rario might allow the company to produce limited-edition digital memorabilia of the cricketer’s most memorable moments on and off the field.

Manish Malhotra 

Manish Malhotra, an Indian designer, debuted his first-ever collection of NFTs in the crypto realm. Malhotra debuted five special fashion-themed NFTs earlier this week. Lisa Ray, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Alia Bhatt were among the models and actresses that wore Malhotra’s NFT collection, which included sketches and GIFs of five dressmaking pieces.

While NFTs are new to the film industry, I’m optimistic they (film stars) will see this as another opportunity to use their existing content and generate revenue,” said Ayaan Agnihotri of Bollycoin, an NFT marketplace for film industry assets.

Agnihotri stated that his site sold out 8 million of the 20 million on-the-market doubtful “BollyCoins,” crypto tokens that will be used to purchase NFTs once they are issued, within days of its launch this month. A BollyCoin is worth 10 cents in the United States.

Other Actors and Celebrities

Often, the country’s largest NFT marketplace has been linked to YouTube stars like Amit Badana, rapper Raftaar, singer Mika Singh and Khali, the primary Indian heavyweight champion.

NFTs include cricketers such as Dinesh Kartik. Furthermore, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey sold his first tweet as an NFT for $2.9 million to a Malaysian man of affairs earlier this year. The NFT craze among celebs appears to be here to stay.
