Imagine holding an NFT and giving it a rocket booster, with gamified staking that brings multiple communities together, making them stronger than ever before without absurd gas fees!
Enter Solana.
Apologies for getting ahead of ourselves but this one’s going to be special. AGE of SAM (AOS) truly lives up to the claim of being unique – so read on if you want some more information about why this project is about to take off.
There are two distinguishable factors between Ethereum and Solana – speed and gas fees, with Solana being vastly superior on both fronts. AGE of SAM captures this sentiment perfectly in their lore – “The Great Gas War”. This is done in a crafty, us-vs-them sci-fi way. By immediately capturing a sense of the Solana community, AOS lays out a foundation for cross-project utility not seen anywhere else, while functioning as a hub.
About AGE of SAM
AOS NFTs is called SAM, and every SAM is an astronaut with a face representing one of 12 unique Solana NFT projects – these 12 projects are called ‘Factions’ in the AOS lore.
The Factions gain immediate value and exposure from cross-pollination and collaboration, and holders of their NFTs are encouraged to couple them with SAM NFTs when mining Solarium ($SLRM), the AGE of SAM token.
Why? Because holding a partner NFT while staking the SAM NFT earns more Solarium. It also encourages ‘diamond hands’ who see long-term value to join the AOS family – superb!

They’re also planning to introduce more Factions in the future – rumor has it that their Scouts have already infiltrated some ETH communities…
We’re just getting started.
Hold-to-Earn Utility
When someone holds any of the 12 Faction NFTs and an AGE of SAM NFT, they will earn up to 2X Solarium when staking their SAM – which is twice as much as if you were ONLY staking a SAM NFT. This is done on weekly ‘Moon Missions’.
Factions that earn the most Solarium will win prizes on top of whatever amount of Solarium they mined – everyone wins, but the most dedicated factions will win more than others. Hence, ‘gamified’ staking.

Think of Factions as teams. Think of teams as competition. Think of competition as the basis of any game. And that’s just the Hold-to-Earn utility. A Play-to-Earn game is already in development with an actual AAA video game studio involved. This just keeps getting better!
Entertainment with Substance
Entertainment-as-Utility is a huge part of what makes AGE of SAM so special. We’ve already mentioned Hold-to-Earn gamification and an actual P2E game, but did we mention that they’re giving away $50,000 in prizes before their mint?
Members of all Factions are always invited to join the AOS Discord to participate in various contests like Poker and Trivia, as well as other surprise giveaways.
There aren’t too many boring moments, which contrasts with other NFT projects where the ‘entertainment’ is usually nothing more than waiting and hoping. It seems as though SAM knows what he’s doing.
The AOS Discord is lively and good-spirited, and this is in part thanks to a large dedicated team of admins, mods, and community managers. Even the founders are in there every single day cracking jokes and answering any questions.
Note to all other projects – don’t underestimate the value of a great Discord team – it gives your members confidence, do as SAM does. When a community feels like they’re part of the team, they’ll hype your project for you.
AOS is also busy establishing partnerships with other top Solana projects to bring additional rewards to the hold-to-earn experience and raise awareness about Decentralized Finance, Gaming, Music, and other applications of the Solana blockchain.
One thing they definitely need to chill out with – too many acronyms!
Regardless, AGE of SAM is easily one of the most exciting projects we’ve seen. The best part? It’s still early.
Minting is scheduled for late January 2022.
