- Aptos blockchain adds Ankr as an RPC Web3 infrastructural provider
- Ankr currently provides RPC services to 19 blockchains
Renowned fast and reliable Web3 infrastructure provider, Ankr, announced its position as a pioneer RPC (Remote Procedure Calls) provider to Aptos blockchain. The new partnership will allow developers to access the Aptos Testnet Community and enjoy premium RPCs. They can now make request calls and receive information returns. They can get results from these actions by running the Aptos full node.
The partnership will enable developers to build safe, scalable, and upgradable dApps on the Aptos blockchain. Aptos is the 19th blockchain to receive RPC services from Ankr. Several blockchains like Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Polygon, and Avalanche have partnered with Ankr to enjoy its infrastructural RPCs.
Commenting on the recent partnership with Aptos blockchain, Josh Neuroth, the Head of Product at Ankr, stated:
Ankr is excited to be an early supporter of Aptos with an RPC that now makes it easy for all developers to start building on the ecosystem. This is just the beginning of Ankr’s products for the blockchain that will doubtlessly attract more demand ahead of the much-anticipated mainnet launch.
Earlier today, Aptos blockchain launched its highly anticipated mainnet. The mainnet comes with new technologies and scalability benefits to Web3. Ankr will add additional documents, features, and tools to help Web3 developers streamline building in the mainnet.
Aptos Testnet reportedly performs over 160,000 transactions per second (TPS). Probably, the feat resulted from Aptos’ latest upgrades like the parallel execution engine, Block-STM. FTX, one of the leading investors of Aptos, has announced the upcoming launch of Aptos’ native $APT. The launch will take place on October 19, 2022, at 1 AM (UTC).
Benefits of Partnership Between Ankr and Aptos Blockchain
Ankr Network receives an average of 8 billion blockchain requests daily from over 50 networks. The platform provides time-tested and high-performance RPC node infrastructure that handles various forms of request load. This would expand Aptos’ public RPC resources.
The RPC implemented by Ankr on Aptos Testnet connects wallets, command-line interfaces, and dApps with the Aptos blockchain. It functions as a router that relays on-chain information among Aptos nodes, dApps, and consumers. RPC allows users to perform tasks like transactions, access wallet balances, fetch ownership information, and so forth. Ankr provides a geo-distributed and decentralized Aptos RPC that strengthens the Aptos blockchain. The RPC is composed of many independent blockchain nodes running worldwide for low-latency and reliable connections. Building developers can make their initial call using Ankr’s RPC service. In addition to that, they can also use an endpoint to call the Aptos chain through standard EVM JSON RPC methods.
About Aptos
Aptos is a safe, fast, and scalable Layer-1 blockchain founded by Meta Alumni. A16z, FTX Ventures, Paypal Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Binance Labs, and other leading investors actively support this platform. Aptos blockchain was built using the Move language. The Move language and resource model solves many performance and security issues peculiar to other Layer-1 blockchains.
