- The AuroraFS is ready to release the first fully decentralized media streaming platform.
- Web3Tube is the decentralized streaming platform to be launched.
The AuroraFS decentralized cloud storage blockchain will be releasing what will be the world’s first fully decentralized media streaming platform. The p2p cloud network will launch the Web3Tube platform in connection with a Phase III airdrop. 50,000 AUFS tokens have been allocated to go to individuals as part of a rewards structure for participation in the launch and live implementation of Web3Tube.
On Friday, March 25th important information will be released on AuroraFS twitter and Telegram community channels, signifying the start of the warm-up for Phase III, scheduled to then go fully live on March 27. The Phase III Airdrop instruction video and operation guide will be released on that day. This will grant individuals a fair chance to get onto the decentralized media streaming platform and begin utilization, to be eligible for airdrops that will be rewarded to the highest performing users in various platform activities.
Details of the Web3Tube public launch and airdrop
The AuroraFS phase III airdrop is focused around the Web3Tube application with an aim to introduce individuals and businesses to the decentralized content streaming platform, its implementation and potential impact on streaming in the future. Web3Tube maintains full decentralization while keeping security measures and data delivery standards impressively high.
Web3Tube will allow users to upload videos in Mp4 format and invite others to view and ultimately like and subscribe to their unique channel. The top 300 platform users will be rewarded with 5-80 tokens in each of 4 rounds which will last for 7 days each. The contest for most subscribers is scheduled to run until April 23.
Contest rules for the most likes are slightly different. Most likes will reward the top 1,000 users with 1-30 tokens depending on placement. Rounds will only last for 2 days, and the contest will conclude on April 9. The HD real-time streaming capability of AuroraFS will be displayed to contest goers, and cryptocurrency rewards are in store for 1,000’s across multiple rounds. There is also another activity for which a contest has been designed.
Non-Staking broadband mining on AuroraFS
In a third activity which is involved in the Web3Tube backend functioning, broadband mining will also be introduced for public application. The non-staking broadband mining contest will begin on the 31st. The top 100 broadband providers will be rewarded with 10-50 tokens in what has been scheduled to be at least 4 rounds. AuroraFS has also disclosed that additional users will be rewarded beyond the initial 100, as more users join the network and contest.
Specifications for non-staking mining have been set out for now as such:
- Download and install the latest version of AuroraFS mining node.
- A public IP address is recommended or a router with activated UPNP.
- Greater than 20 Mbps uplink bandwidth.
- Minimum processor requirements are Arm Cortex-A53 (2+ cores) or Intel Celeron J1900+, while an Arm Cortex-A53 (4+ cores) is recommended.
- At least 1GB, but over 2GB of memory is recommended.
- SSD storage capacity of at least 16GB, with greater than 50GB recommended.
- At least 1TB of data storage available, with over 4TB recommended.
Final remarks and next steps for AuroraFS
AuroraFS blockchain testnet is established on the Binance Chain. Individuals who wish to join the AuroraFS Web3Tube launch and airdrop contest must have a BSC wallet address and Windows 10 or greater as requirements to interact and join the AuroraFS decentralized peer-to peer network. A newly designed website is also underway in preparation for the AuroraFS token launch soon coming.
Web3Tube is designed to showcase and display real time, the delivery system inherent in the AuroraFS network. The Web3Tube decentralized media streaming platform does not use a CDN to stream content, but all components are instead all located within the AuroraFS web 3.0 stack protocol, and makes for an efficient web 3.0 media streaming experience.
On March 25th the warm-up period begins and runs through the 27th, a day prior to contests going live. This will coincide with the team’s attendance simultaneously at Australian Blockchain Week 2022, giving the local Australian community a unique opportunity to learn and engage in the AuroraFS decentralized cloud network firsthand for the opportunity to earn crypto rewards prior to the AUFS token launch.
