- BabyDoge developers finally released the swap testnet on the Binance Smart Chain.
- The team said the testnet will introduce more decentralization and more important functionalities.
The Dogecoin-like meme coin BabyDoge has finally launched its swap testnet on the Binance Smart Chain. The entire crypto market has been anticipating the release of the BabyDoge swap facility. The way meme coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu found their way into the crypto market and were successful has triggered other networks to launch theirs. Less than a week ago, BabyDoge announced that its long-awaited swap was complete. At the time, the meme coin’s developers added that the testnet would go live on the 15th of August. BabyDoge said its swap would include innovations like farming and staking services.
As promised, BabyDoge announced that the testnet went live according to schedule. The team announced the development on Twitter (NYSE: TWTR), saying:
The moment we have all waited for! We are LIVE on BSC test net !
The testnet will add many essential features that will enhance the entire ecosystem of BabyDoge. Some of these features include DeFi functionality, more decentralization, and staking. Additionally, the swap protocol will introduce transactions at no cost.
BabyDoge announces Testnet is live
Before the testnet went live, BabyDoge boasted of its expanding fanbase. The team said it has been recording an increasing number of BabyDoge holders. At the time of the declaration, the developers claimed to have about 1,603,575 holders of the meme coin. Expectedly, the number will continue to increase as BabyDoge gains more popularity in the crypto community after the testnet. With the holders’ figure, BabyDoge leads over their meme tokens like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. The team has been working on boosting the coin’s price through burning.
As burning reduces the number of coins in circulation, demand will rise and ultimately trigger an upward price action. The baby dog developers had burnt 50 quadrillion coins worth about $88 million in a transaction.
Earlier this year, BabyDoge entered into a partnership with TSG Hoffenheim to become the football club’s official partner. According to the football club, the joint venture will work on club-specific non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Under the partnership, the BabyDoge logo will also be on LED boards when the club’s team is playing home games. The coin’s project manager, Mike Watson, said the partnership would push BabyDoge’s coverage within and outside the European Union. The team added that it would sign more partnerships in the sports ecosystem to establish itself as a community-centers project.
On the other hand, the football club’s CEODenni Strich commented:
TSG Hoffenheim is happy to be working together with such an innovative and leading brand like Baby Doge. We are excited and looking forward to a successful partnership, where we’ll bring an NFT collection from the club and other exciting projects to life.
