Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced that it has completed the Terra (LUNA) airdrop distribution to Terra Classic (LUNC) and TerraClassicUSD (USTC) holders.
This proclamation came via its official website in the early hours of today, May 31, 2022.
Binance users are to confirm the receipt of the tokens in their spot wallets via the distribution page in the User Center. Users are advised to uncheck the “Hide 0 balances” in their Spot Wallets to view the LUNA tokens.
Binance also highlighted different qualifying criteria for the LUNC and USTC airdrop, one of which is the snapshot timing. It stated:
However, people from the US and sanctioned countries are ineligible to receive the airdrop.
Binance has also enabled deposits for LUNA tokens, having suspended all its trading pairs on Thursday, May 26. But withdrawals of LUNA won’t commence until June 1, 2022, 06:00:00 (UTC).
Earlier this month, LUNA, the official token of Terraform Labs, lost 100% of its value. Its algorithmic stable, UST, also lost its pegging. Terraform Labs launched a new blockchain called LUNA 2.0 as part of the revival plan for LUNA.
LUNA 2.0 officially rolled out last Friday, May 27, after days of proposing revival plans. Proposal No. 1623 was to rename the existing Terra blockchain to Terra Classic (LUNC) and create a new blockchain (LUNA). This proposal passed with 65.5% votes.
At press time, LUNA trades at $9.84, according to CoinGecko.
