Changpeng Zhao, CEO and founder of Binance, took to Twitter to share the news that the company’s security team had recently found out about an attack on another big exchange.
Not directly tied to funds; rather, Zhao indicated it was related to information leaks; yet, it might easily lead to losses in fund value. He also said that they had notified them already. His remark was a response to another person’s tweet, which said that Binance has exceptional security.
Meanwhile, Wu Blockchain says that the security team at Binance earlier made a misleading statement claiming that Uniswap had a security problem.
This comes at a time when there is a lot of tension over Binance’s lawsuit against news portal Bloomberg for defamation. Zhao has requested that the article that was published about him be taken down, accusing it of spreading false information and tarnishing his reputation.
Notably, an investor filed a lawsuit against the exchange on June 13 for providing misleading information on the platform about Terra’s stablecoin before the company filed for bankruptcy.
This development came after investigations were conducted by regulators halfway around the world, which resulted in the company’s operations being banned in many countries, including the United Kingdom and Japan.
Furthermore, one of the most remarkable expansions in the industry has occurred at Binance over the last five years. The cryptocurrency exchange recently celebrated its fifth year working in the business with a special event.
