Q. Please introduce BitOasis to us.

BitOasis is the Middle East and North Africa’s leading online crypto-asset trading platform. The platform was launched in 2015 and has recorded upwards of $4 billion in trading volume to date. We offer our users across the MENA region a secure and compliant way to buy, sell, and hold over 40 different tokens.

We aim to build the infrastructure needed to drive mainstream adoption of crypto assets in the region. With this goal in mind, we are working towards lowering the barriers to entry in this space by simplifying crypto investing and trading for our users. Additionally, we offer them a secure and compliant way to buy, sell and hold crypto assets.

Q. How does blockchain integrate or connect to your company’s objectives?

At BitOasis, our vision is to build a transparent and inclusive financial system in the Middle East and North Africa region, and we believe that crypto assets are the building blocks that can help us get there.

We see a growing number of individuals and institutions embracing cryptocurrencies and the underlying blockchain technology. We have been working closely with key policymakers across the region to help them build regulations that will make crypto safe for investors.

Q. What are you most excited about, and what’s the next frontier for BitOasis?

With crypto awareness reaching the masses – and an ever-growing number of people realizing the long-term growth potential of crypto assets – crypto is well and truly having its moment.

We focus on hypergrowth as a fast-scaling company in the crypto and Fintech space. The new capital we raised in our Series B round of funding last year has equipped us with the resources we need to expand our regional presence while ensuring high standards of regulatory compliance. Also, we are working proactively with regulators across the region and will acquire licenses where available.

Furthermore, we work on scaling our platform. BitOasis covers 16 of the largest 20 crypto assets by market cap and has over 40 crypto assets available to trade on the platform against AED, SAR, and USDT, with plans to launch USD and other regional currencies in the future.

We have introduced zero-fee local bank deposits and withdrawals for our UAE-based customers and are launching several tech initiatives to simplify crypto-investing and trading for our customers in the UAE and the wider MENA region.

Q. What makes BitOasis different from the crypto trading platforms out there?

At BitOasis, we have been advocating for consumer protection and government collaboration from the very beginning. Using a supervised crypto-asset exchange that works closely with government stakeholders provides UAE residents a secure way to enter the crypto space.

Centralized crypto exchanges like BitOasis require buyers and sellers of crypto assets to complete specific KYC (Know-Your-Customer) requirements. This KYC compliance is a competitive advantage in the crypto marketplace since it helps safeguard the platform’s users from unknowingly getting caught up in money laundering rackets.
