Blockasset, a platform that connects fans with their favorite teams and athletes, has finally revealed the date of the upcoming Initial DEX Offering for $BLOCK, its native multi-utility token. The launch will happen next December 9th and will be available on three different platforms: DaoMaker, Solanium, and Raydium.
COVID-19 sparked a halt when it comes to sports-related activities in the whole world for health-related issues. However, platforms like Blockasset let users connect with their favorite athletes and open important new revenue paths. This new way of linking the fanbase and sports teams and players through NFTs and fan tokens is here to stay, as there are now several teams that offer direct participation through these elements, giving them a real value for the fans.
Blockasset Benefits Both Investors and Fans
The ecosystem of Blockasset includes a launchpad, where athletes can create NFT collections directly to their fans, using the already proven technology of the platform. This has already been successfully tested with several NFT events, including Giorgio Chiellini’s ‘Gladiator’ NFT drop, and the ‘Legends’ stellar collection that featured five athletes including Muhammad Ali and Alexander Ovechkin.
Those fans who invest in these tokens, fans get a slew of benefits. NFT and fan token holders get to enjoy opportunities to meet and interact with different athletes on these platforms and receive different discounts when purchasing physical and digital merchandise from the platform, and have a say in what athletes and teams do, giving them the power to write some lines in their hero’s stories. These rewards and interactions depend on the number of tokens held, so this incentivizes fans to keep holding the tokens and engage with Blockasset.
Investors, on the other hand, can benefit from the increased demand for these tokens and rare NTF’s, taking possession of these unique assets before they reach mainstream acclaim, reaping the rewards for these later.
$BLOCK as part of the Blockasset Platform
$BLOCK is the native token of the Blockasset platform. It enables multiple functions and additional benefits for token holders. By purchasing $BLOCK, users are supporting Blockasset’s mission of bringing fans closer to the sports action, increasing their engagement.
$BLOCK holders can leverage the token in various ways. Blockasset allows users to stake $BLOCK to receive rewards in the form of interest for the tokens deposited on the platform. Also, $BLOCK stackers have an opportunity to earn rewards in the form of another token called $ASSET. This farmed $ASSET will serve for users to obtain discounts on NFT purchases and other perks.
$BLOCK also serves as a governance token in the platform. This means that token holders will be able to propose changes to the platform, and vote with their tokens about different issues. This includes athlete or team-related proposals: for example, $BLOCK holders could choose the music that a team will be playing during the next game.
The last function of the token has to do with the upcoming Play-to-Earn games on top of Blockasset’s platform. While this is still a work in progress since Q2 2022 $BLOCK will allow users to interact with these virtual worlds, allowing users to purchase specific NFTs and Play-to-Earn titles.
$BLOCK public token sale will start next December 9 in three exchanges: DaoMaker, Solanium, and Raydium. Of 320 million $BLOCK available, only 3.84 million will be available to the public during this initial sale.
Sport Tokens In The Spotlight
The sports-based NFTs have been in the spotlight lately, mainly due to the general NFT mania that has been happening in the market during the last months, and because more and more athletes are getting into the NFT world. Also, the access to these instruments has been massified, resulting in a greater demand for these tools that further deepen the links between athletes and fandom.
For the same reasons explained before, $BLOCK is expected to grow in price and influence with Blockasset while more features and functions are added to the platform. This makes sports NFTs and the $BLOCK token in particular interesting assets to invest in for sports fans, as well as traditional or cryptocurrency-based investors.
