Paradise Trippies launches 10,000 unique NFTs inspired by Party Pete

Drawing inspiration from Party Pete (BAYC #9696), Paradise Trippies has launched 10,000 unique NFTs created by two of the industry’s finest artists, Rui Duarte and Joe Ruiz.

The minds behind the collection are brothers Andy Booth (@360 on Twitter), holder of BAYC 9696 (a distinctive trippy ape from the world-renowned Bored Ape Yacht Club), and James Booth (@domain on Twitter), the duo known collectively for their trades and activity within the community. James has recently sold a golden Bored Ape for 675 ETH and is a respected BAYC collector.

Rui Duarte has been a professional illustrator, crafting a career in caricature, which led him to become a storyboard and comic artist. In the NFT space, Rui is best known for creating the art of Bulls on the Block. He has gone a step further with the Trippies and created an assortment of seven baddies from the Island, along with a handful of special, super-rare pieces.

Joe Ruiz, a skilled painter, and illustrator, based in Georgia, has mastered his talents since his art school days during the early 90s. Joe, a San Francisco Art Institute student, brings three decades of experience in creating illustrations for popular books, games, and print work. Joe’s attention to detail is second-to-none as illustrated from his detailed sketches on the official Paradise.com website.

Paradise Trippies is an Ethereum-based project and will be minted with ERC-721 tokens. Owners can gain access to the whitelist by following the Paradise Trippies Twitter account and entering competitions that happen daily. Each Paradise Trippy NFT is different from one another, making owning the collectibles all the more special. The collection contains fourteen core creatures and six specials. Half of the collection represents the good side of a trip, while the other half represents the perils of a trip gone awry. All the characters have roles to play and the island is bustling with life.

Down the road, NFT owners will be able to be a part of an interactive journey across Paradise Island, where each NFT occupies a particular section of the island. The creators promise an interactive world where you will be able to compete with your friends and even borrow their characters to gain access to areas only they can. Significant cash prizes will be up for grabs and fun games will be added as the roadmap develops.

What makes Paradise Trippies unique? As well as using a high-value domain name like never before seen on an NFT project (showing that the team means business), Andy and James Booth, having forged a name for themselves in the domain business, are fully committed to the Paradise project and have big plans for expansion post-launch. Collabs are being discussed with more established companies and the duo feel they are very early in the space.

There is also a charity aspect to the project. Four pieces of the NFT Collection will contain an offering of 5 ETH each to be donated to charity. The owners of these NFTs will have the opportunity to nominate the charity of their choice, at which point Paradise Trippies will donate the 5 ETH or the USD equivalent.

Paradise Trippies will go on public sale through the official website on November 30th, 2021. To participate in the sale, owners must own a MetaMask wallet, connected to an OpenSea account.
