Crypto exchange Binance has announced its agreement with the Recording Academy within which it will be the first-ever official cryptocurrency exchange partner for the 64th Annual Grammy Awards and Grammy Week events. As a partner, Binance will work on bringing various Web3 technology solutions and experiences to the events held by the Recording Academy.

Binance Co-Founder Yi He commented:

“We were impressed by the Recording Academy’s ability to meet changing demands by its community—this is something we mutually share as a company that puts users and people first. Starting with the GRAMMYs, we are excited to work together with the Recording Academy to bring fresh new experiences powered by blockchain and all the great things Web3 technology can bring to entertainment.”

The event will take place on April 3 in MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will start at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT, you can watch it live on the CBS Television Network and as well as Paramount+.

Previously, Binance has been working with various artists and musicians through its Binance NFT marketplace it launched in 2021. Powered by the Binance blockchain infrastructure and community, the Binance NFT marketplace provides the highest liquidity platform for users to launch and trade NFTs.

Its collaborations include art pieces by da Vinci and Van Gogh from the State Hermitage Museum, NFT fashion from luxury brands like Vogue Singapore, Balmain Paris and Jimmy Choo. Besides, it has also featured a premium NFT collection by the Associated Press with over 100 pieces of historic news articles. Among its partners are such figures as Lewis Capaldi, Djimon Hounson, Michael Owen, Toni Kroos, Rivaldo, Guti, Alessandro Del Piero, Christian Vieri and Gabriel Batistuta.

Binance and Grammy Awards’ Collaboration

For Binance, the collaboration with Grammy Awards is the first time it partners with a music organization. However, for the Recording Academy, this intersection of the music and blockchain industries is not the first similar experience. In November 2021, the Grammy Awards show featured the Tezos-based OneOf NFT platform. Within their three-year partnership, the collections on the platform will feature exciting digital works created by three NFT artists from diverse backgrounds that highlight OneOf’s mission to support women and POC in the Web3 space.

The artists include ThankYouX, Emonee LaRussa, and Andre Oshea. Each of them will create a series of limited-edition collectible works inspired by the Grammy Awards. The NFTs will commemorate the 64th, 65th, and 66th Annual Grammy Awards events. Proceeds will partially go to the Recording Academy’s scholarship fund.
