It is affirmed that the partnerships between both protocols are mutually beneficial, and will notably stir up the evolution of the Avalanche protocol.
Boba Network, a Layer-2 blockchain protocol that integrates easily with diverse protocols has announced it is launching on the Avalanche network. As contained in a Press Release shared with Coinspeaker, this move will position Boba Network as the very first Layer-2 protocol to go live on Avalanche, creating a new history.
The integration will enable the smart contracts and Decentralized Applications (DApps) in the Avalanche ecosystem to gain access to Boba Network’s Hybrid Compute engine. With this tool, they will be able to interface in a smooth way with mainstream Web2.0 protocols.
Avalanche developers will also be able to gain access to and leverage real-world data and off-chain computing. Many things can be done with this access, and one of these includes building applications with a diverse utility that can interface between both Web2 and Web3 systems respectively.
“We’re excited to become the first multichain L2 on Avalanche,” said Alan Chiu, Founder of Enya Labs, the core contributor to Boba Network, “This partnership enables Avalanche to support even more users and transactions, and empowers Avalanche developers to build dApps that connect with off-chain APIs. Boba is now synonymous with Layer-1 scaling that’s available when and where it’s needed.”
The integration between both protocols will open access to all developers on the Boba Network, to take advantage of the speed that Avalanche is known for. The combined entity will be garnished with access to the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) bridge on Boba Network which Avalanche developers can deploy to move digital collectibles between Layer 1 and Layer 2 protocols.
The embrace of the Avalanche Network is in tandem with Boba Network’s focus to push blockchain adoption to millions of users irrespective of the protocol involved. Besides the mass adoption, Boba Network is also engendering accessibility through ready-to-use building tools.
Boba Network to Carve a New Path for Further L2 Integrations on Avalanche
That the Avalanche network has no Layer-2 protocol running on it since its inception in 2020 is surprising. However, the integration may open up access to more L2 integrations in the near future.
It is affirmed that the partnerships between both protocols are mutually beneficial, and will notably stir up the evolution of the Avalanche protocol.
“By deploying to additional chains, Boba breaks fresh ground and brings Avalanche its very first L2 Equipping our talented developers with yet another way to make dApps cheap, fast, and scalable will only benefit users. We’re excited to see how this integration evolves and where the story of Avalanche L2s leads,” said Luigi D’Onorio DeMeo, Head of DeFi at Ava Labs.
The evolution has already started and some of the native Boba Network-focused outfits will be launching on Avalanche to help explore the new capabilities that such integrations can offer. These protocols include EvoVerses, a play-to-earn turn-based strategy game, and Sushi, one of the biggest providers of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) on Boba Network.
