  • Chingari will also launch an in-app wallet with GARI as the main token in the ecosystem.
  • The Network aims to build a crypto-powered creator economy on Chingari.

Decentralized short video app, Chingari launches its remodeled mobile application. Launched today, February 14, 2022, the GARI native token is now available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Chingari, often known as the “Indian Tiktok,” intends to redefine the content production scene on its platform to integrate the app’s millions of daily users to the Solana blockchain. As the main Chingari ecosystem token, GARI will allow users to ‘tip’ and ‘boost’ their favorite content producers’ profiles and content on the Chingari app.

Users can use their in-app wallet to deposit and withdraw GARI. They can also trade the token on some of the world’s top cryptocurrency exchanges. Sumit Ghosh, CEO, and Co-founder of Chingari commented on the recent integration of the in-app GARI wallet, saying,

This will be a game-changer in the Chingari App when millions of users will experience the integration of GARI. The existing and new users will be able to Tip the other creators, boost their profile, gain governance rights, and experience a lot more features on the app. With this, we also move in the direction of being a project with the highest on-chain users. We are very excited to launch the in-app wallet of Chingari and give the users revamped app with loaded features.

According to the team, the GARI token is now live on both centralized and decentralized exchanges, including FTX, Kucoin, Huobi, Gate.io, OKEx, and MEXC Global.

The app is introducing GARI as an SPL token on the Solana blockchain to allow cost-effective and rapid on-chain transactions. The GARI network will launch a video NFT marketplace on the Chingari app in the coming quarter.

The Chingari team disclosed to CoinQuora that the GARI Network was developed to encourage content creators to create authentic content while maintaining viewer engagement. Chingari is India’s top video-sharing social media mobile app with over 35 million monthly active users, they add.

Moreover, users of the Chingari app will be able to build sub-economies within the platform with the launch of the GARI ecosystem, ushering in a new Web 3 metaverse in the video creation business. Content creators will be able to engage with their audience, sell items, and mint unique short videos as NFTs as a result of this.

The Network asserts it intends to create a crypto-powered creator economy on Chingari. Hence, the platform’s economic environment encourages curation by compensating the best content providers for their efforts, as well as users for viewing and sharing videos.
