Blockchain technology including cryptos, NFTs, DeFi keeps flourishing, but the knowledge regarding the industry is still not widespread as expected. Although there are some courses on cryptocurrency, a major Turkish university has deemed it necessary to offer an NFT course.
Ankara University, the higher institution in Turkey behind this initiative has proudly opened its gate for NFT course seekers. This makes it the first university in the country to offer the course in its curriculum.

Most importantly, officials from the Turkish Presidency and Ministry of Culture and Tourism attended the first academic class on NFTs in the university.
In the inaugural speech of the class, university rector Necdet Ünüvar expressed his happiness to teach the NFT course and students are happier than them.
Özgül Özkan Yavuz, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism hopefully remarks that NFTs can stimulate artistic skills.
We believe that NFT will trigger artistic creativity, skills, and talents among youth. The step that Ankara University has taken by means of expanding awareness on NFT is very important.
To add, Yavuz also said that at the end of the course, students would get a chance to exhibit all NFT works they create.
Meanwhile, the Digital Transformation team of the country is looking to propose a Turkish term for NFT. The term will be announced after a social media poll suggesting alternative names.
NFTs have become an intrinsic tool to affirm ownership of digital assets like music, art, video that rely on blockchain technology. Currently, the global market cap of NFT hangs around $9.74 billion and many believe it will continue to surge.
