Furthermore, CoinGecko emphasized “security as their top priority,” as risks are always evident in the DeFi space. It was last September 2021 when they first introduced the Security Tab feature.
According to CoinGecko, almost $3,000,000,000 were lost in crypto exploits last year. That said, the crypto data aggregator platform decided to take its security measures to the next level. Through this tab, users can easily access the audit report of a project and its recent security score.
In a series of tweets, CoinGecko explained the use-cases of the Security Tab feature and gave a glimpse of what to expect.

Moreover, Hacken is a cybersecurity company that mainly focuses on blockchain security. It also has a platform called HackenProof that runs bug bounty custom-tailored programs that secure businesses and assets.
Meanwhile, CoinGecko Co-Founder Bobby Ong further commented on the new collaboration:
CoinGecko is excited about working with Hacken for our bug bounty program. We are well aware of the dangers that vulnerabilities may present to our users and this is one way where we take proactive steps together with Hacken to ensure and improve the safety, security, and integrity of our platform.
