Sports and crypto found a slower week as the field of play is host to all of the newsworthy action this past week. In U.S. sports, baseball comes to a close, the NBA and NFL seasons are in early to mid swing, and the NHL playoffs are appoaching.
All eyes, however, from a crypto perspective seem to be on the World Cup. Hosted in Qatar, there is an official crypto sponsor and expected digital engagement around the corner. To what degree, we will see. In the meantime, we’ll dive into all of last week’s sports and crypto activity with The Sports Slice.
