On 27th June, the owner of Bored & Hungry, Andy Nguyen, responded to the accusations. In  a series of Twitter posts, Nguyen said:

Why on earth would we stop accepting crypto at Bored & Hungry?  We would just adjust the crypto pricing to match USD.” He further explained, “We still and always will accept Ethereum and ApeCoin at our store.

Twitter user @LoloYopp commented, “a subreddit, long beach has been bashing you guys for almost a week now because of this. Shouldn’t have been having fun and working in NYC and responding to more emails. Silly media.”

This was followed up by a reply from Nguyen, “ It is what it is. We’re still here and building. Let’s run it up!”
