The Dubai Police recently announced that it will unveil the second edition of its NFT collection during the Gulf Information Technology Expo (GITEX) 2022 which will be held between 10-14 October 2022.
In a statement to Emirates’ official news agency, WAM, Dubai Police confirmed that this forthcoming collection will feature 150 NFTs that symbolize the police force’s security, communication, and innovation values.
This announcement comes after the force’s first edition of NFT, which launched in March 2022, received enormous success with 22.91 million people across the globe registering their interest to own the digital collectibles.
Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Dubai Police’s director of the general department of Artificial Intelligence, stated in the statement that the force has received more than 7,000 direct messages from participants through its various social media platforms. He added:
All participants were contacted to confirm digital wallet addresses, and those who met the requirements were shortlisted in a raffle draw, of which 150 individuals won and received the Dubai Police digital assets for free.
Commenting further about the launch, Al Razooqi mentioned that this announcement has garnered attention, both locally and globally, with maximum online interaction coming from people of the USA, KSA, India, Nigeria, and other parts of UAE.
