- UFC fighters will be rewarded with Bitcoin bonuses from Crypto.com every PPV beginning April 9.
- The Fan Bonus of the Night will see fans vote for their top three fighters during each PPV.
- The rewards will be on top of the existing $50,000 bonus from UFC.
Fan-voted fighters of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be rewarded with Bitcoin bonuses sponsored by Crypto.com every Pay-Per-View (PPV) beginning April 9, Saturday.
Called the Fan Bonus of the Night, mixed martial arts (MMA) enthusiasts can start voting for their favorite fighter at Crypto.com’s website. Each fan has three votes per UFC PPV and can vote for two fighters within each bout. Voting will open at the start of the PPV prelims and will close after an hour until the event is over.
Based on the fan votes, three bonuses from Crypto.com will be dished out to the top three vote-getters. $30,000 worth of Bitcoin will be rewarded to the first place, $20,000 to the second place, and $10,000 to the third place.
The Fan Bonus of the Night will be on top of the existing $50,000 Fight of the Night and Performance bonuses that UFC President Dana White gives out to UFC athletes.
White made much of its partnership with Crypto.com, saying that “they are already one of the best partners [they have] ever had.” White further praised their crypto platform partner:
This new Fan Bonus of the Night is an awesome way to get fans more engaged in our events while rewarding the fighters for bad-ass performances.
It can be remembered that UFC and Crypto.com sealed a $175 million sponsorship deal back in July 2021. The deal named the crypto platform UFC’s first-ever global Official Fight Kit Partner.
