FTM Reclaims Rank in Top 10 ETH Whales, $1K Purchased

Fantom Foundation’s FTM token regained its position in the top ten purchased tokens among the 100 biggest ETH whales. As reported by ETH wallet tracker WhaleStats, ETH whales have purchased an average amount of  $1,686 FTM tokens in the past 24 hours.

In detail, among the average 2,000 FTM token quantity, $1,686 worth of the token was purchased, which made FTM enter the top ten list. Earlier, the token got into the same list, as many ETH whales purchased the token in big quantities.

Additionally, according to CoinMarketCap, the price of FTM is currently registered at $0.8485, with an 11.10% hike in the past 24 hours. The token started gaining prominence in 2021 when FTM hovered at a price of $3.48 in October, marking its all-time high.

Meanwhile, prior to the latest listing of FTM, the LDO token of Lido Finance entered the top ten purchased tokens among the 500 biggest ETH whales.

While looking at the other top ten purchased tokens, Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) is on the list with nearly $51,281 tokens, ApeCoin (APE) with $15,615 tokens, and Shiba Inu (SHIB) with $10,808 tokens. Also, tokens like Maker (MKR), Synthetix (SNX), and NuCypher (NU) fall under the top ten purchased tokens.

Fantom is an open-source smart contract platform for digital assets and dApps. Basically, the FTM focuses on transaction speed, and the Fantom team claims that users can transact the tokens in less than two seconds. Reports say that, currently, there are more than 2 million active FTM wallets in use.
