DeFi Land, a Solana-based GameFi platform, is elated to announce its Land NFT Seed Sale, introducing a new chapter for its ecosystem.
As per the announcement, DeFi Land is putting 7500 DeFi Land Seeds for sale. The DeFi Land Seeds are NFTs on the Solana Blockchain. These DeFi Land Seeds will notably be distributed through the project’s website and the Magic Eden platform. The Gen-0 NFT launch will be split into two phases. This will allow players to earn Core NFTs necessary for unlocking the play-to-earn functionality within the ecosystem to be launched in late Q1 2022. These Core NFTs are designed to be both collectibles and utility-oriented, providing users access to various minigames that will be played in the DeFi Land ecosystem.
Holders will be required to water their Seed NFTs for 30 days by using $DFL, the native currency on the platform. Once the plant matures, it will provide the holder with Gen-0 Utility NFTs. Holders that harvest their plants daily will be provided with 4 Geb-0 NFTs. In addition, harvesting will also offer daily holders the chance to receive a rare item as a reward in the coming days. DeFi Land plans to burn all $DFL spent on watering the Seed NFTs. This will lead to a 6% reduction in the $DFL circulating supply.
DeFi Land has a system that democratizes access to the play-to-earn feature. This system allows each Core NFT to be paired with one minigame, allowing players 1 NFT to earn. In addition, each NFT is designed with its unique rarity and specific attributes that help the holder unlock greater rewards and better income. Note, holders who have NFTs with three or more attributes have an advantage in the corresponding minigame.
DeFi Land provides an agricultural game setting within which various decentralized aspects become gamified. The platform serves as an educational platform for newcomers to decentralized finance, allowing them to earn money while playing the game.

Since its launch, DeFi Land has gained traction as investors are interested in projects that combine decentralized finance and gaming. Last year, DeFi Land secured $4.1 million in funding from numerous investors who came together to help DeFi Land achieve its vision. Some investors who participated in the funding round included FTX, Animonca Brands, NGC Ventures, Alameda Research, Jump Capital, Solana Foundation, Gate.io, and many others.
