The word influencer brings to mind fashionable young women flaunting make-up skills. But today, the influencer space is not limited to lifestyle or beauty but has expanded to multiple facets. One such area of exploration is the crypto space.
“We help international and Indian projects get in touch with the Indian community,” says popular Indian crypto vlogger Mirzad Mahdoom in an interview with CoinQuora.
Mirzad is bubbling with energy, jumping from venue to venue, capturing everything for his audience on a small hand-held camera. And he has a lot to say about the crypto arena.
“Transparency in this field is very less. So we aim to give the public access to crypto information in the simplest way.” This is why Mirzad runs several educational shows on understanding the fundamental and technical aspects of cryptocurrency.
The rising YouTube star is also confident when he speaks of the Indian crypto space. “We are the largest market for crypto with the most investors.” But Mirzad knows there are plenty of people who think of crypto as a get-rich-quick scheme. “Let’s learn first, then you can earn, this is one of our core mottos,” he says.
When asked about the 30% tax imposed on crypto earnings in India, Mirzad replies positively. The young influencer looks at the current crypto climate in India as encouraging rather than restricting.
“I feel these regulations will help people who are skeptical about crypto to look at it with new eyes. They are sure to think: look, the government is watching it. So yes, I feel these are positive and welcome changes.”
The secret to his successful influencer career, Mirzad says, is his desire to learn. “Initially, of course, I lost money as I wasn’t really equipped with information. But then I learned the market.”
“So I say now: don’t invest without understanding the market; learn from influencers; listen to the people in this space.”
“This is the land of opportunities,” Mirzad says in a closing statement to CoinQuora, turning his camera back on.
