Kawasaki, a Japanese public multinational corporation manufacturer of motorcycles has become the new customer for Microsoft’s industrial metaverse.
Software giant Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ: MSFT) has joined the trend of tech companies seeking to divert their new innovations into the virtual world, hence venturing into the metaverse. The tech giant has unveiled the debut of its Industrial Metaverse, a new technology that allows workers to use Microsoft’s HoloLens headset on the factory floor to overlay digital imagery in a real-world environment.
Microsoft’s new innovation was followed by the company’s concern to combat challenges associated with the supply chain as it offers a mechanism whereby workers on-site can reach out to repair persons through HoloLens in situations where there is a need to repair or fix broken parts in the factory. The repair persons can then chat with the workers and walk them through the repair process with visual cures for augmented reality without the need to have them come over.
Moreso, Microsoft’s Industrial Metaverse allows managers to use its features to ramp up new production if needed.
