London-based consumer tech company Nothing has unveiled its first NFT project, Nothing Community Dots. The company discussed the new NFT project in a Twitter thread on the 5th of June, noting that “DOTs in the huge improbable scheme of everything, But let these seemingly small, insignificant dots connect. Then something begins.”
Nothing NFT Project
Nothing revealed that it is starting with Black Dot NFTs, which is exclusively open for redemption by its community investors. Community members are invited to an NFT membership club where they can garner NFT tokens. People who hold these Nothing NFT tokens, called Black Dots, will have entries to events and enjoy other new products. In addition, the company’s equity crowdfunding investors will be able to redeem the collectibles with self-custodial wallets such as MetaMask. It will expand sales to the public on popular NFT marketplace OpenSea after the NFTs drop on the 7th of July.
The Nothing community investors will firstly receive the NFT token, after which the company will airdrop it to Phone (1) pre-order customers. Nothing is offering 10 Black Dow owners from its secret group special invitations to the launch of the incoming smartphone.
Nothing Partners with Polygon to Integrate Web3 tech to Phone (1)

Thanks to a partnership with Ethereum scaling platform Polygon, the new smartphone will make it easier for users to connect to Web3. Polygon and Nothing have been working together on developing the deal for up to five months. Polygon will integrate its Web3 tech into the smartphones, inducing its apps and games. Also, the Nothing Phone (1) will feature Polygon’s ID, a proof-based identification solution. ‘
Nothing co-founder Carl Pei noted:

Meanwhile, Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration. He said the partnership would promote a sustainable approach to Web3 entry.
Polygon Vice President of growth Arjun Kalsy talked about the mobile phone as the “largest distribution platform” to spread technology to the masses. The VP said Nothing got to know about the Ethereum scaling platform through its February funding contributors. He added that the depth of knowledge the Nothing team showcased on Web3 was surprising. According to Kalsy, the team understands the Web3 concert, and he wants to work with them.
