Optimism Grants Mint Blockchain $1.35M for NFT Advancements

Announcement of the Grant

On October 15, Mint Blockchain announced via an X post that Optimism (OP) has approved their grant request. The funds will be utilized to enhance “the Superchain NFT economy.” Mint Blockchain stands out as the only “Superchain” project in the Cycle 28 round of grant approvals.

According to the announcement regarding Cycle 28 winners, other projects that received grants include:

  • Scout Game

Mint Blockchain’s Commitment

Mint Blockchain expressed gratitude for the support, stating, “We are beyond thankful for their support as we continue our mission to accelerate NFT innovation and adoption across Mint Blockchain and the broader Superchain Ecosystem.”

Utilization of Funds

The funds from the grant will be directed towards empowering builders and onboarding new users onto the Superchain. Mint also hinted at unveiling more detailed plans in the near future.

Goals of the Grant

In a separate X post, Optimism explained that the primary aim of the grant is to:

  • Incentivize growth for developers
  • Increase user engagement in the Mint ecosystem

Furthermore, Optimism hopes this grant will drive NFT innovation and adoption within the Mint Blockchain as well as across other Superchain ecosystems.

Developer Engagement

Following the grant announcement, Mint Blockchain encouraged developers to launch their projects on the protocol and share their ideas in the NFT field through Mint’s development forum. They stated:

“If you’re passionate about NFT fields, you can share your ideas through Mint developer forum—we’re ready to work together to turn these NFT concepts into reality. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to supporting you!”
