For the third quarter (Q3) of the fiscal year 2022, Oracle reported total revenue of $10.5 billion, up 4% year-over-year.

During the third quarter of fiscal year 2022, Oracle reported a total revenue of $10.5 billion, up 4 percent year-over-year. The GAAP operating income for the quarter came in at $3.8 billion, down 1 percent . On the other hand, the non-GAAP operating income for the quarter was $4.8 billion, up 1 percent.
Notably, the company reported a GAAP net income of $2.3 billion, while its non-GAAP net income was $3.1 billion.
Worth noting , the multinational company reported a GAAP earnings per share of $0.84. Additionally, Oracle reported a non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.13, down 3 percent
However, according to media outlet CNBC, a study conducted by Refinitiv on analysts indicate they expected non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.18 on a revenue of $10.51 billion.
According to the company through the earnings report, the decline in EPS was primarily caused by a decline in the share price of Oxford Nanopore, and an operating loss at Ampere.
