Yuga Labs also mentioned that the early testing phase which includes a lot of trips would mostly include participants who are Otherdeed owners and third-party developers.
The highly-anticipated first trip of the Otherside Metaverse project associated with Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) took place on Saturday with 4,500 participants. Individuals who are mainly Otherdeed Non-Fungible Token (NFT) land owners were the participants, also called the Voyagers, and are reported to have all obtained land plots in the Otherside virtual world. Around 4,500 participants were involved in the first trip tech demo. With several community members expressing an exciting experience for the trip, the tech demo has been said to be a success.
According to reports, the voyagers were said to have first joined a blank virtual lobby as Voyager avatars. After this, they followed a giant Bored Ape into the Otherside Metaverse. The 4,500 voyagers found their way through a colorful path into their location called Biogenic Swamp. From there, they proceeded to a stadium to test the Avatar dynamics including running, dancing, jumping, and emojis. They then embarked on a journey to explore the area and interact with the environment. Giant creatures were walking around, and attempting to attack those who wanted to go closer.
Soon after the trip, Yuga Labs issued a lite paper explaining the principles behind Otherside and plans for the project. According to the statement, there will be three phases, however, only one has so far been disclosed. The first phase will be a storyline game mode made up of 11 parts. It would basically have to do with surrounding a “mysterious Obelisk” that has appeared on the Otherside.
The lite paper explained that the Voyagers will play a huge role in ensuring that the core capabilities of the platform are shaped. This will be done through playtesting opportunities, exclusive events, etc.
“In order to plant the seeds for a successful community, we are starting development on Otherside with Voyagers, who are our first adopters and believers. They are a crucial part of Otherside’s history and are invited to join the Voyager’s Journey,” read the lite paper.
Yuga Labs also mentioned that the early testing phase which includes a lot of trips would mostly include participants who are Otherdeed owners and third-party developers. According to them, such participants would be able to provide critical feedback on the platform.
