Pocket Network to support broader adoption of Polkadot’s decentralized infrastructure.
Pocket Network (https://www.pokt.network/), a decentralized Web3 infrastructure protocol, has partnered with Mission Control and Polka Häus, one of the leading Polkadot communities, to support broader adoption of the decentralized infrastructure inside the Polkadot ecosystem. The partnership is one of the first to be fostered by Pocket Network’s TriForce initiative, designed to leverage community members to enable more efficient onboarding and support for new blockchains, while optimizing node infrastructure.
Crypto communities comprise many of the most passionate and knowledgeable supporters of blockchain projects. Pocket Network has identified these community members as logical candidates for onboarding new blockchains for support on Pocket Network, thereby vastly growing the potential number of data relays serviced by network nodes and expanding Pocket’s multi-chain applicability. Leveraging the skills and expertise of valuable community members in the TriForce initiative will be key to Pocket Network’s goal to support 100 blockchains by year-end. The partnership with Polka Häus has been accompanied by a similar one enacted with Mission Control, one of Pocket Network’s first external devops partners.
“We are excited to not only be the first external contributors for Pocket Network but also to bring POKT into the Polkadot ecosystem,” said Alex Hatoum, Co-Founder at Mission Control and Polka Häus. “This first phase brings POKT onto Moonbeam, and we are now working with other parachain teams to bring POKT to more projects building on Polkadot. We believe Polkadot’s interoperability and scalability make it an ideal use case for decentralized Pocket nodes.”
Pocket Network intends to extend its TriForce program to dozens of other blockchain ecosystems in 2022 and beyond. Anyone can apply to start a TriForce “shard” for a blockchain community that they are passionate about. TriForce shards include DevOps, Marketing, and Business Development members that work towards onboarding new blockchains for support with Pocket Network, and subsequently growing data relays by bringing new dApps in the chain’s ecosystem to Pocket. Thanks to recent proposals that were passed in the Pocket DAO, TriForce shard members can receive a budget for onboarding new chains, as well as be compensated based on the number of ongoing relays that come to Pocket Network from their chain.
Valeria Benitez, Co-Founder and Design Lead of Pocket Network added: “We were recently invited to speak about Pocket during Polkadot Decoded 2022 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The recent deployment on Moonbeam was highlighted, and we can’t wait to add Pocket to other Polkadot parachain projects.”
