This six-day event will feature networking opportunities for developers, coders, engineers, and builders through in-person support, mentorship, and technical workshops on various topics like Substrate, ink!, and XCM to para chain-specific development.
Registration to this event is free of cost for all participants. Participation requires an online form submission to the Polkadot Hackathon: North America Edition portal. However, due to the limitations of physical space, the event can accommodate only 200 participants.
Moreover, the team offers over 24 tasks and challenges for the participants to explore, compete, and win prizes. The cumulative prize pool for the event is $600,000 accumulated by Polkadot Treasury along with several other ecosystem teams.
Speaking of the upcoming event, Web3 Foundation’s Growth Manager Urban Osvald stated: “From workshops to in-person mentorship, the event offers a unique immersion opportunity. Unfortunately, spots are highly limited so be sure to apply as soon as possible!”
He further opined:
The Polkadot Hacker House offers a rare opportunity to connect with and learn from some of the brilliant minds of the Polkadot ecosystem.
Polkadot offers a plethora of activities to both seasoned builders and new joiners, ranging from educational initiatives to hackathons and beyond, the newest addition being this event, which is the first-ever networking event hosted by them.
This Hackathon is a part of a Global Series that started last year in Asia-Pacific countries, and the North America Editions will last till July 11. Participation in this hackathon can be done through five main categories — Interfaces & Experiences, DAO & Governance, Web3 & Tooling, DeFi, and NFTs.
