Ripple CEO talks about having transparency in the crypto space

In his recent interview with Fox Business, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinhouse spoke about what’s required to thrive in the crypto space. Amid all the noise around stablecoins these days, the interviewer asked Brad Garlinhouse his opinion about the assets backing Tether.

Responding to it, Garlinghouse said that he’s been not personally involved with it. He also added that he has no idea how Tether is sharing its financials. However, he added that there’s a demand for strong transparency in the crypto space more than ever before.

He added that not only Tether but the whole crypto industry needs to be transparent in order to thrive in the coming years. Garlinghouse further added that from the earliest days, Ripple and the whole XRP community have been leading by example.

On the other hand, Ripple’s General Manager Ashish Brila had a conversation with Dave Balter, CEO of FlipsideCrypto, a cryptocurrency, and blockchain analytics firm. The two players discussed how organizations can prevent cryptocurrency hacks and make blockchains more secure over time.

While Ripple executives remain optimistic about the future, the company is still fighting a major battle with the U.S. SEC over the status of XRP as securities.
