SL Benfica Becomes First Portuguese Club to Partner with Socios

Portuguese footballing giant, SL Benfica is getting aboard the Socios train with the proposed launch of a fan token. The partnership will notably open up Benfica to the world of Socios which plays host to more than 150 of the biggest clubs or sports organizations in the world across Europe, South America, and the United States of America.

Socios is a major pioneer of fan engagement using blockchain technology, and its popularity has continued to grow by the day. According to the statistics shared by the platform, there are over 1.5 million downloads of its application, and Benfica will be brought into this large community of club supporters.

The decentralized nature of the Socios-backed fan token makes it possible for anyone, irrespective of their geographical location.

Socios to Create New Experiences for Benfica Fans
