Stylus is live on Arbitrum Sepolia! We’re excited to invite developers to explore the potential of Stylus contracts.
We’re thrilled to announce the Stylus Blitz Hackathon, designed to inspire developers to harness the capabilities of Stylus contracts. Scheduled to coincide with Stylus going live on Arbitrum Sepolia on June 17, 2024, this hackathon presents an opportunity for participants to innovate with the MultiVM.
Grant Details
We are offering a total grant pool of $15,000, which will be distributed among 10 projects. Each selected project will receive a grant of $1,500. This initiative aims to attract a diverse range of developers and teams.

Why Stylus?
Stylus introduces groundbreaking possibilities for the EVM ecosystem, allowing developers in the Arbitrum community to write smart contracts in languages like Rust. Powered by the WASM VM, Stylus contracts offer remarkable efficiency, providing computational and memory advantages that are up to 10 times more cost-effective than traditional EVM contracts.
Furthermore, Stylus contracts are fully interoperable with the EVM, enabling seamless integration with existing Arbitrum protocols.

The Stylus Blitz Hackathon welcomes developers from all backgrounds who are eager to explore the potential of Stylus contracts. Whether you want to experiment with innovative Stylus-specific use cases beyond Solidity or migrate existing Solidity protocols to Stylus for reduced gas costs, this hackathon is for you.

Timeline
The Stylus Blitz Hackathon will span approximately two weeks, starting from the launch of Stylus on Arbitrum Sepolia on June 17, 2024, until June 30, 2024. During this period, participants will have the opportunity to develop and deploy their Stylus contracts.

- Official Build Time: June 17, 2024 to June 30, 2024
- Project Submission Window: June 24, 2024 to June 30, 2024
- Judging Period: July 1, 2024 to July 7, 2024
- Selected Projects Announced: July 8, 2024
Judging Process
The project submission window will be open during the final week of the hackathon. Participants can submit their Stylus projects for review during this time. Judges will then have one week to evaluate submissions and select the 10 projects that will receive grants.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a Stylus Blitz grant, your project must meet the following criteria:
- Deployed Stylus contract on Arbitrum Sepolia
- Tooling and infrastructure projects supporting Arbitrum Stylus are also eligible
- Submissions must be made by the original developer(s)
- Preference given to projects that interact with other EVM contracts
