Summer Recap: Optimism in Action
Earlier this year, we launched the Optimism Collective and introduced the OP token, alongside grants for projects aligned with The Optimistic Vision. This summer, we’re seeing these initiatives thrive.
- On-chain transactions have surged, with OP Mainnet settling an average of 150k+ transactions daily over the last 30 days, marking a 40% increase from the previous 90 days.
- Since the launch of 12 out of 43 incentive programs, over $700M has been bridged from L1 to OP Mainnet, a remarkable >600% rise compared to the pre-incentive period.
- Projects implementing incentive programs report significant boosts in inflows, liquidity, TVL, and transaction volumes.
These developments indicate promising growth from the seeds sown earlier this year.
Getting Started and Incentive Updates
A total of 51,149,838 OP have been allocated for distribution, including 42 million OP from the Governance Fund’s initial 200 million allocation.
Of the 43 projects slated for OP distribution during Optimism Governance Season 1, 12 have launched their incentive programs, with 31 more to follow soon. Stay updated with our public dashboard and the ‘OP Summer incentives’ filter on optimism.io.
