TraxxStemz is challenging how people view the creation, ownership, value, and rarity of music and art.

The TraxxStemz project is the birth child of TokenTraxx, the first of its kind NFT music marketplace. TraxxStemz is kick-starting things with the launch of an NFT collection called “Revolution.” This collection has 3030 distinctive pieces and will be launched in partnership with the band Graffiti6. The band was formed by Jamie Scott, a Grammy-winning singer/songwriter, TommyD (producer), and Jimi rayon (artist).

Comprising both music and art, each NFT will be formed from the layers of an original Graffiti6 recording. The collection features insanely diverse combinations with all visual rights included. In addition, each piece will consist of individual instrument layers or stem of remixes combined to create a unique version, augmented by randomly generated artwork. The remixes will be grouped into categories based on likenesses such as keys, drums, bass, and FX.

The stems will be assigned rarities with no two sets of stems ever being repeated. The original and remixed stems of the track will be fed into a processing engine developed by TokenTRaxx called the Boogie Machine. The Boogie Machine results in a set of NFTs formed of randomized combinations of musical stems. These stems will be accompanied by randomly generated artwork that features 3D visuals from Graffits6 members and Jimi Crayon.

While commenting on the NFT collection, Graffiti6 producer and TokenTraxx co-founder, TommyD stated:

“It was really important that each remixer had their own distinctive sound. I wanted all the remixes of Revolution to be completely different: different tempos, chords, arrangements so that when combined you get these insane combinations, sometimes stunning, sometimes a car crash but always funky,”

Notably, Gaffiti6’s music and art collective will use the remix talents of DJs and producers, each well-known and respected in their field. They include hit-maker and Diplo collaborator Paul Woolford, giants of the French house scene Oden & Fatzo, drum’n’bass pioneers Calyx and TeeBee, and legendary dubstep DJ and producer Flux Pavilion.

Calyx, a London-based producer, musician, and DJ on the Drum & Bass scene, added:

“We are always selective when we’re asked to do remixes, but as soon as we heard the original track, we were itching to get stuck in. The vibes, music, and above all, Jamie Scott’s phenomenal vocals made this a joy to remix. These remixes have created some unique and unpredictable pieces of music and art-making us so excited to be part of this Web3 project.”

TraxxStemz will be holing its presale for the ‘Revolution’ collection drop in August. Interested parties can sign up on the website.
