Donald Trump‘s new social media platform Truth Social is beating Twitter and TikTok on the Apple app store. The social media giant Twitter is widely used by crypto experts worldwide to publish and share what’s happening in the entire crypto industry. Additionally, Twitter was recently acquired by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk for $44 billion.

As the new owner, Musk took to Twitter to share a screenshot that showed Truth Social is leading among free apps on the Apple app store.

Notably, Twitter was in second place while TikTok came in fifth.

On the other hand, after Musk acquired Twitter, the former president told Fox News that he will formally join his own app Truth Social over the next seven days.

Trump told Fox News:

I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH. I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH. We’re taking in millions of people, and what we’re finding is that the response on TRUTH is much better than being on Twitter. Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we are doing everything we can.

To clarify, Trump was permanently suspended from several social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat following the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Twitter found most of Trump’s tweets connected to the violent protests as provocative and warned that he risked further incitement of violence.

Likewise, when they asked whether a Musk-owned Twitter could be competition to TRUTH, Trump said, “I feel it would be a positive development in the social media space.”
