Thumbay Group, an international business conglomerate, has announced plans to enter the metaverse.

According to Khaleej Times, the Thumbay Group is the first project in the region to set up digital facilities in education, healthcare, and fitness.

The group will establish a fully virtual hospital in the metaverse where character customization and interactions are offered. The organization will also guide users through a complete walkthrough of the hospital and the services it offers.

The services included are teleconsultation, multiple doctors consulting a case in a virtual clinic, opinions from various doctors, and avatars in the local language dressed to greet patients at the medical tourism department. Moreover, they will provide first-aid and health programs using AR/ VR and AI programs.

Additionally, the virtual hospital will also provide educational health tips to patients and an operating theater for cosmetic-type surgeries.

On the other hand, the group plans on developing a Virtual Medical University on the same metaverse as well.

Moreover, The Gulf Medical University and some of its labs will feature in the Metaverse, where students can learn in the VR world, interact with the teaching compound, practice skills on virtual patients, and in simulated 3D Labs with gamification techniques.

Lastly, the group plans to build a fitness center in the metaverse. Based on the given information, the fitness studio is equipped with various exercises and a full body analysis to help users select appropriate exercise routines.

This project’s phase one will go live by the end of this year and allows students to enroll in courses with crypto payments.
