Ukraine’s crypto rap song is catchy as hell. Invest in Peace, Bro. Invest in peace.
Everstake is a Ukrainian-based blockchain company. They say they are the biggest decentralized staking provider in the blockchain industry. The company has 625,000 users and employ 100+ people worldwide.
They have created a rap video in collaboration with Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation. In the rap, Mykhailo Fedorov urges crypto enthusiasts to keep donating to Aid For Ukraine.
The charity organization raises funds for Ukraine’s military and also for humanitarian needs. So far, it has raised over $60m in an array of cryptocurrencies. $45m has been spent on things like first aid kits, ration packs, and bulletproof vests.
The initiative is co-powered by Everstake, FTX, and Kuna, along with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Peace Come at a Price
Sergey Vasylchuk, CEO of Everstake, said, “Peace comes at a price, but the first wave of donations has subsided. Cryptocurrencies are free from red-tape hurdles, which makes them the most efficient way to provide fast help. Every crypto contribution, no matter big or small, is another nail in the coffin of totalitarianism. Helping Ukraine fight off the invasion means helping us save the free world from enslavement.”
Everstake and its co-founders Sergey Vasylchuk and Yev Zaifert have also made crypto donations, in the aggregate amount of $10M. Yev Zaifert individually donated $9m. They also funded other initiatives. This includes the charitable foundation of Kyiv School of Economics.
Rap Video Back Story
The rap video was produced by the Bickerstaff.734, a Kyiv-based creative agency. Their creative director, Ilia Anufreinko, said, “People rarely think about peace as an investment. But if there is no peace, there will be no opportunity to pump your Lamborghini or get an alpaca farm. It’s a very unusual communication campaign, so we believe it will stand out and attract more crypto donations.”
