- The alliance is expected to boost women’s participation in the NFT world.
World of Women (WoW), the NFT community, announced that it is stepping into the gaming world. It will be partnering with The Sandbox for a unique collaboration. This teaming is intended to create more business development opportunities for women. Moreover, the new alliance will also strive to offer support to NFT creators in learning about web3, the metaverse, NFT creation and auctions.
This partnership will involve a $25 million grant through the WoW Foundation that will be used to educate women on crypto. This education will be conducted through training courses and informed entrepreneurships. All of these modules will be hosted in The Sandbox Earning more female participants is Sandbox’s gain in this endeavor.
The ArtTactic, a market research and analysis organization reports that female artists account for less than 16% of the NFT art market and only 5% of NFT sales. This is why WoW is striving to create a more welcoming space for women, putting aside 15% of its sale proceeds into a fund to reinvest in other crypto-art projects. They are also dedicating an additional 7.5% for charities focused on educating girls and ending child marriage.
Yennefer, Head of Communication at World of Women said:
We really want to lead and support more women in the metaverse like we are doing in the NFT space.”
WoW is an avatar art project determined on bringing more women into the crypto and NFT space. Digital illustrator Yam Karkai launched the WoW project with 10,000 avatars in July 2021. Today, WoW is one of the most popular female-led NFT projects, with support from celebrities like Eva Longoria and Reese Witherspoon.
