The Fabricant and World of Women (WoW) have joined forces to make Web3 more fashionable and diverse with a 27-piece digital fashion collection inspired by the women characters in the WoW NFT artworks.
The WoW x The Fabricant collection will drop in June in The Fabricant’s recently launched invitation-only NFT co-creation platform The Fabricant Studio.
The fashion team at The Fabricant’s digital atelier created 27 designs that correspond to the traits originally drawn by WoW artist and co-founder Yam Karkai. Using Yam’s illustrations as their starting point, The Fabricant created mood boards for each look and reimagined the pieces in full length from shoulder to toe, transitioning the visual aesthetic from 2D artworks to 3D digital fashion garments.
The Fabricant Studio users, WoW NFT holders and select partner communities are invited to customize the collection with digital fabrics and mint their creations in the studio as unique 1/1 NFTs. The co-created pieces can be collected, worn and traded in Web3 environments.
In alignment with both World of Women and The Fabricant’s missions to empower and enable women through tech, the focus of the collaboration is to onboard women into Web3 through digital fashion. Women-focused communities in the digital space are encouraged to sign-up for the campaign and claim their ‘Crypto Purse’ access pass to mint a free digital fashion NFT from the collection.
Access to the mint is also given to the existing communities of both The Fabricant and World of Women who currently hold their NFTs. Individual wallets can mint a maximum of 27 garments, allowing every piece in the collection to be minted.
Adriana Hoppenbrouwer, Co-Founder and Commercial Director, The Fabricant, said:
“The Fabricant’s collaboration with World of Women is the first time two Web3 entities have come together to create a digital fashion collection of this scale and ambition, establishing women and fashion as forces to be reckoned with in the metaverse.”
“We’ve always made a habit of working with teams that support our values of building an equitable, creator-led digital fashion economy, and we couldn’t be more aligned with WoW’s women-focused mission and vision. That aside, we’ve been huge fans of the WoW project since launch, and it was a dream brief for our team to participate in. We can’t wait to see what both our communities will bring to the collection when they customize and mint the pieces as NFTs in The Fabricant Studio.”
