Oracle Redbull Formula 1 Drivers Star on Bybit Crypto Guide Series

    • Bybit premiered the second episode of its crypto guide series today.
    • Crypto Slang Challenge features drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez.
    • The series is a product of Redbull and Bybit’s multi-year deal.

Formula 1 drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez took the hot seat again on the second episode of Bybit’s crypto beginner’s guide, “#BybitLevelUpChallenges,” which premiered today,  to discuss the latest crypto and racing slang.

The “Crypto Slang Challenge” saw Verstappen and Pérez guess the meaning of common crypto terms and acronyms, such as gas fees, position, fiat on-ramp, ATH, FUD, and more. Aside from this, the drivers also attempted to correlate the crypto slang with racing terms.

The two drivers seem to know their crypto stuff and are able to define and explain some crypto terms. When asked what “when Lambo” means, Verstappen responded, “when to shine through the streets… show off.” Pérez chimed in and said that if an investor has “done well in crypto, [they] have to show it.

Talking about the bear market, Pérez answered that this “is where things are really nasty on the market.” Notably, the crypto market is currently in a bloodbath, with a 14.6% dip in market cap.

The #BybitLevelUpChallenges series’ episodes 1 and 2 can still be replayed on Bybit Race Insider and Bybit’s official social media accounts.

The series is an initiative stemming from the Red Bull Racing and Bybit partnership. The first episode, which premiered on April 13, also featured Verstappen and Pérez who answered crypto and racing questions.

In February 2022, Oracle Red Bull Racing partnered with Bybit, making the exchange one of the racing team’s top tier allies. The partnership gave Bytbit the titles Principal Team Partner, Cryptocurrency Exchange Partner, Fan Token Issuance Partner, and Tech Incubator Partner. The multi-year deal aims to boost fan engagement through cryptocurrencies.
