Shiba Inu (SHIB) The Next Crypto for Payment at AMC Theatres?

  • AMC keeps fostering the adoption of cryptocurrency globally.
  • AMC Theatres now accepts BTC, ETH, and LTC for online payments.
  • Shiba Inu is under serious consideration from the U.S. theatre giant.

According to CEO Adam Aron, AMC Theatres, the largest movie theater chain in the United States, will now take Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Litecoin (LTC) for online payments. Users of the company can now pay in cryptocurrency digitally.

However, one of the most popular meme coins, Shiba Inu is set to join the league if the AMC listens to the agitation of the SHIB community. Although, even when they accept Shiba payment, Shiba Inu would not be the first meme coin to be accepted by the movie theatre.

Earlier in October, AMC announced it now accepts Dogecoin payment for digital gift cards. The announcement gave the SHIB the momentum to campaign for Shiba Inu being that a meme coin has already been accepted by the American theater.

In light of the recent surge in retail interest in the cryptocurrency Shiba Inu, AMC has stated that it is evaluating SHIB as a payment method. Aron just conducted a Twitter poll to see if people would take Shiba Inu as a form of money.

“As you know, you can now purchase AMC gift cards using cryptocurrency, and our IT group is writing code so that soon we can accept online payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin, among others. Should we strive to take Shiba Inu too?”

Similarly, AMC has also begun accepting payments via PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Adam Aron, the Chief Executive Officer of AMC Theaters, recently tweeted that digital payment options such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are increasing in popularity among customers.

AMC said earlier this year that it intends to accept cryptocurrency payments. As a result, the global crypto community thanked AMC for its commitment to the global adoption of digital currencies and applauded its move. Keeping to their commitment to foster the global adoption of cryptocurrency, the U.S. theatres giant keeps introducing more cryptocurrencies into their business model.
